... can see the Chugach Mountain Range from everywhere in Anchorage- I love looking up and seeing them- even if not fully snow covered because New England got all the snow this year! I heard someone suggest they should have switched- had the Boston Marathon up here and the Iditarod down in Boston! I am leaving for Scotland in less than a week and am... not packed yet. After departing, I will travel for 3 whole days (hooray for layovers), and will finally arrive on Monday. I am trying to make the most of my time here and have been meeting up with old friends who I dearly missed. Anyways, just some random thoughts before I go:

... was claimed by the river when it eroded 80 feet of a family property. The problem is that with the Mat-Su valley experiencing high temperatures glaciers have melted, thereby swelling the Matanuska river causing it to erode the banks.
By then it was 10.15pm & time to head home, Connie didn't come in & I didn't linger upstairs as I needed to repack my bags & try to get to bed at a reasonable hour. Not that that happened as I began to edit my photos so was up till about 2am!
