They also had all kinds of options for incorporating it in jewelry, etc. I bought a denim shirt and fleece vest along with mounting my gold in a necklace, as did Sue.

    As you get close to Fairbanks, you go through North Pole. If you are in North Pole you have to stop at the Santa Claus House. We did stop and looked around, but didn't see Santa as he was out to lunch.

The owners, Ron and Shirley, are very warm and there's a 24 hour traveler room open for anyone out the Steese that might have trouble or need refuge. The bar attached is huge and nicely decorated for a country bar. It has a Harley Room in the back and a full stage for bands.

    ... look like marble and some of them just look like ice, but the detail was incredible. There was one sculpture of a knights joisting that took 2 months to make and it had the details of the shingles on the knights armor. There was a sculpture of a lifesize chess board with a cougar on it and the cougars fur was very visible. It is just crazy how detailed someone can make a piece of ice. They had a bar inside and ...
