I am thankful that my friend and the guide was ...

... night before! Normally at home we have a break between our mains and desserts and this Christmas was no different as we waited an hour for our third course - it was fine though as we had nowhere to be! After our Christmas lunch we headed back to the hotel and pretty much didn't move from our room! Cracking open our first beers of the day (the hotel didn't sell alcohol) we enjoyed Rise of The Guardians which was a film about make believe heroes (Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, ...

I've come down to Indonesia for a few weeks to 1) climb a volcano and 2) visit the Komodo dragons. Its not far to travel from Australia so I could come another time, but seriously, who would want to climb a volcano on a 'holiday'? Its not my idea of relaxing! So I thought I would do it while I'm in the spirit of things and leave my standard ‘holidays’ for pool side cocktails and massages.

I spent a few days in Kuta, Lombok (not the same as Kuta, ...
