Today we tried to get to Ronda – we took the bus to Algercias where the train station is just across the road from the bus terminal. We got there around 1pm and the next train wasn't until 3 o'clock so we abandoned the idea and went and had a quick look at the town then went back to Alciadesa\La Linea (where we are moored) and wandered ...
7th May to 13th May 7th May Left Batalha and headed to another major pilgrimage site of Fatima and the nearby village of Aljustrel. Once we hit Fatima we had no idea which way we should be heading and like a moth to light we were drawn the house of Lucia, which is situated in Aljustrel. ... of the Virgen is the patron saint of the village. According to a legend two young shepherds were led there by a pigeon!!!! They discovered the image of the Virgen concealed in the recess of the tower where it had been hidden for 500 years.It became a sanctuary cave.

Emily and I headed to the Plaza de Toros which has an excellent Bullring, bull fighting museum,Harness and Livery collection, and a very interesting Fire-Arms Museum. We were not able to take pictures of anything in these museums, but the evolution of the costumes for the Matadors, the enormous skull of an Aurochs from 400 years ago, and the dueling pistols dating from 16 century were really something to see!
