Check "climb the falls" off our bucket list

... to satisfy her co-workers and took the first exit to join Andy. After the second leg of the falls Jarod had had enough and was too scared to keep going, so he took the second exit and joined Mom and Andy. Dan, Jessica and I were having a great time, though, and went all the way to the top. We don’t have any pictures to post as our camera is not waterproof so we didn’t bring it, but we do have a copy of the video. I’d rather not talk about how long it took to ...

No!! We don't want a taxi....

... were really keen for sales. We just bought some sunscreen and came back on board the ship. We all went back to the H2O zone and enjoyed the relatively empty pool area.<br><br>It was another incredibly hot day so it was very relaxing to just kick back and hang out by the pool. Now THIS is a holiday!!<br><br>After dinner we put the girls to bed and went watch the show.

Port of Call for the big cruise ship

Ocho is an interesting city, divided by a straight line, on one side (from the center to the port), relatively safe area day and night, upscale boutique, restaurants and on the other side, the chaos and not so safe area. There are a few hundreds meters of beachfront.

You know: what goes on in Hedo, stays on in Hedo

This year we did the 2 resorts again: We started in Hedo III: http://www.hedonism.com/static_page.php ?pageid=17 Then Hedo II: http://www.hedonism.com/static_page.php ?pageid=16 They both cut edges compared to the past. It is a bit less luxuries, a few rules even and things going wrong. We would not go to Hedo II anymore, unless someone convinced us, it's gotten better. Personnel was not extremely friendly (which they still are in III), we did not have fresh towel for 3 ...

... walking tour of the decaying Georgian town of Falmouth. You could tell that the buildings were once nice, but they hadn't been maintained over the last 150 years and were in various states of preservation. Although it felt like a third world country with goats wandering the streets and sipping water from the toppled gravestones in the church cemetery, it didn't feel the least bit unsafe, which was a ...

Total Relaxation!

... room clean and catered to our needs as well, which were pretty basic - take care of the kids!:) Oh my gosh...the food...INCREDIBLE!!! A wide variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner, although we are light eaters, we had lots to choose from. They have a kiddies buffet every evening at 5:30pm and then the adult/family dining starting at 6:30 pm which is plated service. The kids would much rather choose their own food. So we asked Janice to babysit the ...

We arrived at Ocho Rios, Jamaica on Tuesday after two days at sea. The last two days at sea had been filled with good times and it had been smooth sailing. We looked out from our balcony and thought how beautiful the waters and port were. The weather was sunny with some clouds and the day would be pleasantly warm. We had planned a shore excursion of going on a zip-line through the ...

... of the famous Dunn's River Falls. At the time, the pool was the largest in Jamaica. <br><br>Watersports<br>When we stayed here in 2007, I really got to know several of the watersports staff. Just like other Sandals these guys are some of the friendliest people you will meet in Jamaica. Plain and simple they have a great job and they love it. So coming back in 2008 was such a joy to catch up with old friends. If you like to sail ...

I Came. I Saw. I LEFT!

This was a horrible nasty little place I hope to never see again. When you walk down the street, it is filthy and taxi drivers nag at you and then throw insults when you refuse to take a taxi. I Came. I Saw. I LEFT! One almost saving feature of this hideous place was swimming in the water, but even that turned south when I felt what I believe to be a sewer pipe under my feet.
