    ... and Chris whilst we went to explore. Upstairs was just incredible. It had so many little different types of rooms, some which were chilled out a table football room and a massive room which had a live band playing. We thought we would go back downstairs to get the boys and put our coats in the cloakroom. They were no where to be seen. We looked around everywhere for them.     ... the Baltics built in 1876, converted into a Lutheran church by the Germans in WWI after which time it took its original title only to be converted into a planetarium by the Soviets in the 1960s. After the last Independence, Riga took it over again.

    I was happy with my discoveries and was ready to walk towards Old Town where I shopped and became a tourist.

    ... we left the building, that's when the tears started. Everyone was standing outside, crying because it had been such a beautiful performance and we'd shared such a good choir connection. Even John was crying, which was something in itself. And then, when we were walking away, someone came up to Amy and told her how wonderful her solo was. What Amy didn't realise until we told her was that it was one of our adjudicators. What a way to top the day!

    About 0500 we were wakened by a thunderstorm. Not a real humdinger of a thunderstorm, but enough to have us counting the seconds between the lightning and the thunder, and wondering why nobody brought the towels in before going to bed. Too late now. We were up and running in plenty of time for our 'two in one' tour which left from the camping at 0930ish. The first bit was a conventional bus tour with headphones in the appropriate language. Except ...
