Tonight I sleep in Wadi Rum Desert Camp.... Let me briefly describe my romantic setting, as I patiently wait for company... As I await my guided tour of Wadi Rum Highlights, a tour that will take me to the sites through the Wadi Rum desert where Lawrence of Arabia & Sherif Faisal Bin Huessin based their headquarters during the Arab revolt …

A great day climbing all over the heritage site of Petra. Ayman, our guide, was determined by any means possible to be the first people into the site, and so marshaled us fearlessly and marched us from the bus 800m down the Siq, the narrow canyon that is the only entrance to the site. I felt like such a tourist-- but come on it's the Dead sea!! I floated for a bit, but after I accidentally swallowed some water, I was ready to find the infamous Dead Sea mud. For 3 JDs each, anyone can cover themselves in Dead Sea mud, which is known for being filled with minerals and very good for the skin. While waiting for the mud to dry, I hung ...

... of the bus ride we were surround by the caramel brown color of the seemingly endless sand. A bunch of us took naps or just talked (I did a combination of both) and before we knew it we were handing the bus driver our homestay assignments and getting dropped of. All of us were pretty anxious to get with our families, but of course we weren't going to get by that easily. I've been told numerous times that Google maps in essentially useless in Jordan (not hard to ...
