... ill once we made it to the station in Pisa. Not so fun.
Still, ok – we’re now in Pisa, right?, and so we should make the best of it. After getting a better map from the local tourist office, we walked from the Pisa train station to the Fiume Arno River (the same river that flows through Florence). During our walk, we saw this unique, teeny-tiny church named Santa Maria della Spina, which hung right on the edge of ...

We are finally home and it is actually Nov. 20th. We finally got in last night around midnight and could not download anything for the last several days because WiFi is too advanced for the small town we were in. It was the most relaxing of all the ...
Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Italy lucy1279Kim had taken her grandma to Lucca last November and had fallen in love with the place.
We found a park not far from the city walls and then headed in for a look. We came across a chocolate festival in one of the piazzas and sampled a few beforw buying a hot cocolate drink...literally hot chocolate in a cup. It made me feel a bit sick.

... an exciting time. I even had a chance to truly see the team rivalry when a Napoli fan crossed over into our section…brutal! I was even pushed in attempts to get this guy out of the stadium.
I visited a quality control center in nearby Prato. I was exposed to a number of tests performed on products before they were put onto the market.
I’ll update you soon,

... walked through to get to the marina where we had lunch at a ristorante while we watched a fisherman mending his nets. The marina is overlooked by a castle and there are many lemon groves on the hillsides. This is where limoncello is made and was popular in the shops. After lunch we decided to go for a walk along one of the tracks that overlooks the village, but it got too steep before we got a very good view. We caught the train to Corniglia where we ...
Lucca, Tuscany, Italy kiama_on_tour... with an attentive gaze, appreciative and cognizant of how fortunate we have been to experience more of what the world has to offer and to understand how life plays out in another corner of the world. And then it hit us....lunch time! And what better place to dine than the oldest pizzeria in Lucca, "Pizza Da Felice". It's found on a cross-street ...
Lucca, Tuscany, Italy marv.n.jo... of biking (sorry mom no helmets were available...I really begged for one but no such luck!) and taking pictures we ditched the bikes. Only two casulties occured: Erika ran into an old lady and Ashley fell off her bike...otherwise it was happy sailing. After ditching the bikes we looked through an open market then ate a delicious lunch. YUM. I had a calzone the size of my head! Lucca was great but we were all exhausted and jumped back on the train to Torino. Ciao Lucca. Until next time.
