There are a lot less people in St. Mark’s Square at night, probably because all of the cruise ship tourists have departed by this time. It’s still busy. The best part is the music. ... were selling disposable gumboots that fit on over your shoes and reach up to your knees to keep your feet and shoes dry. A very nifty idea.
Battling the crush of crowds who were staying under cover we managed to make out way across the square to the church without getting too wet, byway of the trestles that they put down for youto walk on. They are wide elevated trestles about 400 mm off the ground and they line them up to form a boardwalk.

Buon grono from Venice. After 45 hours of traveling we finally reached our destination. Yes Gavin I am here LOL.

All I wanted to do was have a shower and go to bed. My eyes felt like sandpaper and I could hardly keep them open. Had a bit of a bed dilemma top bunk a no goer but the floor looks great and hey I couldn't care at this stage I just wanted to stretch out after being cooped up in the plane for so long.
