... one time. I am so thankful we are staying on the island of Lido and not Venice. The island is a gorgeous beach island. It is much quieter and calmer then Venice. Our hotel is spectacular. We have a large patio off our room that faces the gardens and court yard where we will eat dinner at the hotel tomorrow. Mom and I are relaxing on the patio now with coffee and tea before bed. We feel so pampered! Today we walked around ...

I think because we'd been so used to quiet campsites for the past few weeks, it was all just a bit of a shock to the system to be suddenly put in such a busy place.

It was a strange feeling that night as the next day we would be heading for the lakes and ultimately the beginning of our exit from Italy.

French Riviera to Venice

... So we made our way to the holiday inn which was nearby and asked reception to call us a cab and we would go to maccas. Long story short - the cab cost us €50 and maccas was €25. When we got back to the resort, Luke, Jo and Paige were outside trying to find food. Luke saw that we had maccas in our hands & bugged us for some. So I gave him my snack wrap. Then Sam and I headed to our room, devoured our meals then eventually went to bed. What an eventful ...
