... and we needed to rest our feet. We walked through a shopping district and found Harrod's Department store and witnessed capitalism at its' best. A lot of money is spent at that store. We returned to our hotel exhausted and over 23,000 steps according to the FitBit. Becca's Corner: I had a delicious goat cheese ravioli for dinner and Charlene had a grilled chicken with a pepper cream sauce. Both delicious. The restaurant was next door to our hotel - poor feet! ... have popped so I covered them as well as other rubbing spots and no problem today. Feet and legs are really tired, a day on the bus tomorrow will be very welcome. We found Helena's place in a delightful country lane on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells. (Bunny Lane was nearby, and a turn-off to Pratt's Bottom not far away.) It was fabulous to catch up with Helena - a student of mine when I first began teaching at Wesley in 1990 who subsequently ...

One week to go until our amazing adventure begins and time seems to be moving slow. I have packed my bag already and now seem to be deliberating over silly questions, for instance, whether to pack two hats or one. How do you actually pack adequately for a trip which includes over 7 countries, 40 cities, numerous hotels and varying climates? Additionally, our national flights only have ...
