Exiting Heathrow Airport Abbey and I were undoubtedly aware we have truly landed in England. A fresh 6 degrees with strong winds, rain at 6:30am was certainly enough to shake off the past 24 hours jet lag while we got organised with our hire car and hotel until we pick Vince & Alexis up from Heathrow 5:30pm.

I booked and paid a taxi online for Monday at 4.30pm for terminal 2 Heathrow from our address here - £37, ...

During the journey we well fed and watered with various sandwiches and cakes, tea, coffee, wine or spirits. The scenery was amazing but it was quite misty for most of the journey so not very good for photographing ...

... libraries, and told us about the society of Paris. The London Bus tour stopped outside Parliament & Westminster, outside Buckingham palace, The London Wheel, Trafalgar Square. We really didn't feel the need to jump off and look in museums & galleries. Those we would have to find for ourselves.

So after hours of riding around, we got back to the hotel, and promptly had a nap. I think that the previous week had caught me. Three nights in the ...
