... had turned, dark clouds started to surround the mountains, so we decided to go back down to the city as the stairs were already slippery when dry, so no risk taking when it would start raining. Well, the shadow was refreshing after all these days of continuous blue skys. This was a change for sure and rather pleasant. Although we were still sweating with the minor activity we had.
Our final excursion on the day was to walk the beach a combination of beaches ...
... but overall it is not really a nice city, like some of the other Italian cities.
We returned around five, did some shopping in a neighboring village and had a drink a simple dish at our own place after a short swim in the pool.
It was a nice day, warm as all the other days before, with lots of impressions and lots of activity.

... now understand why they drive the way they drive in Sicily. Take your priority, the road is all yours, stop wherever there is space, don't bother about the others, ....
Anyway after 2 hours of suffering we had our car and decided to go to the new location (an airbnb thing we rented for 3 days). Very nice place just outside of Palermo on the mountain that holds the historic site of Solunto. The host was very helpful to explain everything, probably a bit ...
... you need to be very vigilant when entering a city centre.
We don't think we have done it yet, but we won't find out until we return the car.
We were staying in the old centre and had to park about 15 mins walk away.
It doesn't seem like much but try dragging luggage and bags and kids back and forth.

And there is a beach 30 meters down the street.
We walked to the beach and this beach is sand finally.
Riley, Zara and me swan straight away.
The water super nice and Riley and I swam and saw bubbles coming under the sand they looked cool.
We hopped out and started to build sand castles on the edge of the water to see ...
