We had already visited Lake Garda for a weekend (courtesy of Nic & Monica's wedding) but we really fell in love with it being there for 5 days. We awoke this morning to the sound of rain on Sven and looked out the window to see very low clouds and the mountain actually peeking out of the top. We weren't sure if we would be able to bike ride as we had planned but the rain soon stopped and the clouds gradually disappeared revealing more and more of the mountain. An afternoon of resting, interneting and generally relaxing
– I am feeling so lucky to be here having this amazing holiday and really
enjoying hanging out and doing stuff with Laura – who is a great travel buddy!
We walked up the road to explore the nearest forest for an
hour before cooking the yummiest Gnocchi, Chicken & Tomato dish for dinner.
Laura and I headed over to the supermarket which is a
convenient 5 minute walk from the hotel to get our first lot of supplies for
the next fortnight. Yummy choices of
fresh bread for breakfast and lunch. The girls arrived down to make use of our
