... with my bum hanging out of the shorts. RIP comfy outfit. Next we ventured out to watch the sunset. We were advised to go down to the beach to watch it, but when we got there the sun was still very high in the sky and it was really, really hot. Instead we retired to the hotel pool bar for a delicious cocktail and photo taking session while the sun set behind a crane and newly constructed building. Not ...

... but it gives you some idea of the excitement. We loved climbing the sand dunes at the finish of the dune bashing and watched the sun go down in the desert. We weren't able to go anywhere because it was around 9:30pm and the shops and other things were either closed or closing at 10. So we had an early night. It is so hot here, around 48 degrees during the ...

We had all been eagerly awaiting today's visit to Emirates’ training academy, and it managed to surpass all expectations. We had the incredible opportunity to take a look behind the scenes to see what ground crew, flight attendants, and pilots go through before taking to the skies.

The first stop was the flight simulator room. The large room houses three mock aircrafts that have various features to make ...
