    ... us more than once. We stopped a few miles into the desert around evening time and sat in the sand, beneath the shade that the land-cruiser provided and just listened to the silence of the desert. A sand dune desert is one of the most peaceful places I can imagine.

    We even saw a few camels on the trip before getting stuck at the top peak of a 40 foot high dune and the front and back tires of the ship ...

    Today is our last day of our holiday and we are off to Ferrari World (FW) to relax and have some fun in Abu Dhabi, about 100km south west of Dubai.     ... magnificent inside and out. Made of white marble and gold with pillars and domes, the place of worship can hold up to 40,000 people in the courtyard and main prayer hall and is home to the world's largest Persian carpet! The timing of our visit was such that we were able to hear the sunset call to prayer. Playing from the speakers, the captivating Arabic song symbolises that it's time to come in to pray.

    ... could afford!! At least window shopping is free! Pretty cool to actually see stores like Jimmy Choo, Alexander McQueen next to H&M and the Gap!!! There was a whole store dedicated to Hershey chocolate! We also went to the aquarium in the mall! We all enjoyed that! The girls loved the penguins. Emma was squealing she was so excited! We came back to our hotel in time for a swim and dinner and then we girls went to bed! Love and hugs Mama ...

    ... location for that insight to how life used to be in ‘the day’ and for some locals, still is! The guest house was a very traditional design with a small fountain that took centre piece in the reception area. Our room was one of 6 rooms in a court yard separated from the main guest house building by a narrow alleyway. Due to the location of the Guest House, it was impossible for taxis to pull up outside the building as the nearest thoroughfare was a narrow one ...
