    Arrived at around 6.30am local time in Abu Dhabi. Flying in was like flying into another world - there was construction everywhere and sand as far as you could see. Flashing lights were dotted throughout the mass of construction. I couldn't see any of the tower like hotel buildings just the flight control tower which is of similar design to the amazing tower buildings.
    I was stunned by the lack of vegetation and all the haze from the construction. The buildings ...

    ... mall. walked the shops, had lunch and then headed to the World Trade Centre markets which were more like what we were expecting. traditional stalls albeit within a modern building complex .. Back to the hotel room for a bit of a nap and then found the WanManhal centre behind our hotel. A very large shopping mall with a full range of shops. found an SD card for 5, changed Rick's 1180 HKD into 480 dirham , we had dinner in a Turkish restaurant chain... yum then back to the hotel and ...

    Well it happened! This is our last night in the Middle East. Tomorrow we fly home:(.
