    ... at Homs is located on the outskirts of town for obvious reasons….escape the inner city traffic and make for a quick getaway to the next destination. We cannot come up with any other reason other than curiosity as to why the bus driver wanted to take us back through the centre of town on the way to Palmyra…..he just wanted to see what was going on.
