    ... off. I could've still made it. There was not even an apology. Yet anti fragility overcame my annoyance: that's one-day all paid stop-over in Dubai!

    Upon check-in, I was given meal vouchers. I did not realise the meals were all buffet. At breakfast, I got acquainted with other passengers who missed their connecting flight as well. All of them bound for Ireland.

    Arrived on time at about 5.30am after an easy 14 hour flight from Melbourne on an Emirates 380 airbus with loads of movies, tv shows and food to keep the kids entertained. Slept for a surprising amount of the flight. Straight through customs and then purchased a metro ticket and navigated our way to the hotel only getting lost once.
