... After 8pm it all opens up with Iftar feasts to break the daily fast.

Tomorrow we will venture into Old Dubai to see the gold and spice souks at the Creek. There's also some pretty cool architecture - massive high rise that would not be lost on Grand Designs. Watch this space for photos as Stephen is just itching to capture some images...

... pre customs, one is after customs. Every person had hand luggage examined by hand despite the fact we had been scanned three times since leaving Rome. The woman who did mine looked quite fierce, but she was nastier to her colleague than she was to me, so she was probably just having a bad day. We got to Manchester really early but Mum had a hotel booked so we slept all day then went back to the airport at night to go to Dubai. When we go to Dubai it was 6:00 in the morning and we were so tired.
