Jetlag in Dubai

A travel blog entry by g2lumi

... less about our budgets - she was too busy entrancing superich businessmen and athletes with her money-is-a-worthless-obstacle attitude. Maybe one day I'll be able to return, rent a hotel room somewhere and see the tantalizing gold souk for myself one day, but today was a day for simply passing through and appreciating the power that is born when the 200-year old Maktoum ruling family strikes oil on their lands. headed down to the Dubai Marina, a more chichi area. I quickly made friends

The Burj Khalifa looked as if it was sparkling. After checking all 40 of us were off the plane and together, we were let loose in Dubai airport. Sam, Emma, Lily, Brittany, two other people I don't remember the name of and I ended up together at Starbucks trying to work out why there was a forest in ...
