... the Abu Dhabi Hilton. When we checked in, we didn't get very good service. Very grumpy and stressed looked lady behind the desk. Besides that our room was fantastic with a good view from the 6th floor. The hotel had a lot of history for Emirates standards. It was built in 1970 right on the water front. Since then the water front had been moved and a multi-lane road put in front of the hotel. So if you want to go the beach you had to use an underpass. After putting our bags ...

... before the official sunset time, but I got some very nice pictures anyway. A note to anyone that may want to come visit......this road to the top is not for the faint of heart!! This is one of the steepest and windingest roads I've been on yet, but the view from the top is amazing, even on a sandy day!

Tomorrow we head back to Dubai to see the Burj Al Arab.....the only 7 star hotel in the world. Check back tomorrow to see what I'm up to!

... massive sand dunes and huge rocks it became apparent that there were no shops or anything else for that matter within 30 kilometres of our hotel.
