... up. Oh yeah haha..... Of course there would be a bloody camel on the beach! Giving Western and it's donkeys a run for it's money! A bloody mirage indeed! The Burj Al hotel took me at least 10 min in a taxi to get to from that camel checkpoint. I would have collapsed from heat exhaustion by them. Glad I didn't carry on walking though, because I got there and realised you have to book/pay to get in. F**K that! I took a picture, a rubbish one at that :( ...

... great fun. We then arrived at a central spot where about 30 cars arrived from all over the desert to watch the sunset and take photos. Fabulous. It was then off to the Bedouin camp for dinner, drinks and a show. What a night. Absolutely brilliant and a great way to end the holiday. Very hot night. Had a fabulous time. Arrived back very quickly with "Speedy" Gonzales at the wheel. A big day before our flight home ...

... generous in showing my appercation for anyone in the service industry, I was in it for many years, I still am ( without the tips of course) but I don't feel that you should give something just to give it. It should be given when something extra is earned...and in this case, it was not. I have to think he wasn't too surprised when we quickly excited the jeep after we arrived in our hotel. ... what the next 6 weeks will bring and that is both tremendously exciting and rather unnerving at the same time. The rough plan is to start in Ho Chi Min, meet up with two of my lovely friends and travel with them for a few days up to Nga Trang on the coast, celebrate my birthday, then carry on up to Hanoi, stopping off in various places on the way, before returning to Ho Chi Min for my flight home on the 5th October.
