      ... hated the Eiffel Tower, but ate frequently at the restaurant, and when asked why he stated "because it is the only place from which I cannot see it". You would have to live in this place to not have to look at it. I couldn't even take a picture of it!

      ... tying a scarf around my thigh in the town centre. Got the metro and a bus to a farm in Zatec, the family seems lovely, there's a lack of deodorant, the child looks like he pulls legs off insects for fun, and our tent is next to a barrel of rotting cabbages and maggots but there's worse things that happen at sea. There's another workaway here who came from a slum in Berlin, there was no running water, electricity or food, he had to rummage in bins and collect plastic bottles ...
