... of lights from all the other villages dotted around - very picturesque. Not far from them is a church. As with all churches in Switzerland, this one has a bell. Every hour, quarter hour and half hour the thing chimes away. The one further down the valley is about four chimes slower. The best bit is at 6am when it bangs on for about 10 minutes. ... pack down. We'll play it by ear. Lichtenstein is only a stones throw away, as is Lake Constance, we may venture, we may not. First on the list today is sourcing gas - no one will take our Calor canister so we'll have to fork our for a European canister and probably an adapter too to hook it up to the cooker. Quite by accident we found the Milka factory in the next town. It houses a small museum dedicated to Mr Suchard and explains how they make the chocolate and the different jobs in the factory. A small shop sells everything from chocolate to ski wear to umbrellas, mugs & backpacks - quite a Milka lovers heaven - Gen is our No.1 Milka fan and ...

Why are caravans always white? That was the debated issue of the morning.... Probably prompted by the fact we are pitched next to one that is green (!) and, awnings - always blue & grey - never pink (that would be cool).
