As hard as it is to say goodbye, we have arrived at the end of our trip. Sitting on a train to Frankfurt right now with a flight out in the morning to Abu Dhabi and on back home. Happy and sad all at once, these last few days with my family has been special for me. Perhaps I can't or don't want to put into words because it is just too hard. We meet rarely if truth be known, yet we are close and to say goodbye for ...

I helped separate paper from the cardboard and cartons, and watched in awe as Theresa separated the green glass, brown glass and clear glass. How exhausting! And smelly and weird. ... sweet. My new to do list when I get back home is learn German and do some German cooking!

Next, Michael and Glenda took us on a grand tour of Stuttgart. We started with the first TV tower built, Fernsehturm. We took the elevator to the top, where I snuck over to the rail a couple of times, but mostly spent the time with my back against the wall. Sodie took some wonderful pictures though.
