It is like a cultural blueprint of Canada... at least Canada as it stood in 1944. Today's military is even more culturally diverse as I witnessed at the Vimy Ridge monument where every ethnic minority under the sun was represented in the Canadian Forces present there. One of the best things about Wednesday was that the weather was mild and beautiful, quite sunny, so a great day to go exploring. And the sunset was fantastic. I'll post some pics in a moment. So when I got back from Burg Linn, I made dinner, and prepared for my presentation Thursday morning.

... concern over these last two points to the client but were overruled! the whole project has stalled because of cost over-run. They are going through the painful process of 'value engineering' and are hoping to be on site by the end of the year. Its comforting to know that someone else also goes thru the same grief we do! I will be very interesting to see how this works when complete, both from the care principles adopted and from an architectural and urban design viewpoint.
