Meiningen
Até na sexta-feira de 2.11.2012, não tínhamos nada para fazer no fim de semana. Durante o almoço no Mensa, uma romena, a Andra, nos convidou para ir visitar Meiningen. Então, no sábado às 10:39, pegamos o trem para uma viagem de apenas 34 minutos até Meiningen.

Wine country and to Rothenburg

From exquisite to ancient
Our tired legs tell us we have done quite a bit of walking today, with excursions both morning and afternoon.
Another relatively early start. Hard to get used waking up in the dark in October. Still dark until about 7 am. This will change on Sunday when Daylight Saving ends. But not for long as we get closer to winter.

Wurzburg, a beautiful city and my favorite so far

Once we parted from the tour guide, we needed to do some personal shopping--hit the apothecary for some toothpaste (as Allen would tell you I go through lots of toothpaste and underestimated how much I would need this trip) and a German grocery store (yes, Jill was still looking for snacks, crackers to go with her peanut butter she brought from home). Amazing that 90 percent of the city was destroyed in 1945 within 17 minutes ...
Megahealthy times
The days go fast from place to place as I take one train after the other. From France to Switzerland. From Switzerland to Germany. And now from Germany to Austria. Sometimes too fast...I think every time I see a place disapearing after a trail of rails. Two days of amaizingly good sunny warm weather, of superhealthy vegetarian food, of good rest and relax times. Unfortunately I still feel sick but I hope is getting better and will be gone after the 6 ...
