... was one at every turn of the river. Some are Private hotels...wish I knew.

From there we went to Marksburg Castle. Our trust worthy GPS brought us on a hill climb with beautiful views...the longest way possible, but what do we care..we're on vacation. You can only see the castle with a guided tour, which was very informative.

Tomorrow we head to Clervaux, Luxembourg. Stopping at Burg Eltz along the way. (another Castle)

There was an apple tree and a grape vine on the property and so we had fresh grapes ...

We were moored in Koblenz all evening so some people went out to dinner or to the bars. The ship did a Germanic buffet of regional dishes. Not that keen on german food we were relieved to find fabulous roast beef aand pork in the galley so we could also get to see where all the food is prepared. There was also continual entertainment from a lady ...
