Another early breakfast after a good nights sleep, a few people look a bit worse for wear after yesterday. Breakfast at 7am and coach departs about 8.15. About a 2 hour trip along the old coast road rather than motorway, giving us some fantastic views of the Aegean coastline. Arriving in Izmir we ...

We drove into the town, most places were closed for the holiday. We found a small shop open and bought some local wine and some helva, this is a turkish dessert that is served on special occasions, it is made from sesame seeds, they are crushed into a paste and mixed ...

... So narrow that there was a dear old Turkish lady in front of us and we could not get past. Ian hops out of the car and escorts her up the hill and into her house - we figured that it must have been her flashy leopard skin pants that attracted him! Our problems are not ended we cannot find a way off the narrow track...we pass laughing children and astonished villagers as I finally put Tom Tom on to try and help. Turn left, turn right...good we seem ...
