Easy flight with Easyjet, arriving a bit early at 13.05. The owner of our B & B picked us up at the airport as taxis are impossible to find. The traffic was a nightmare for such a small island. Only 5 rooms in the B & B and not quite as billed on booking.com but very pleasant and with a lovely terrace overlooking the windmills and sea just across from our room. Beautiful sunset and a great meal at a fish taverna to start the holiday. Weather is hot and sunny for ...

... a ferry to take us to the neighboring island of Antiparos but soon realized we needed more Euros so we tried to find a bank or an ATM, not an easy feat in rural Paros. Finding the largest dot on the map closest to Pounda, we stopped in Alikia, a charming little fishing village. There seemed to be only one street with shops and tavernas, a haircut salon and a row of well worn mail boxes, maybe the post office? Fishing boats rocked gently in the water directly across ...

... with their nets drying in the sunshine.David returned to the ship so I took myself on a little wander, camera in hand as usual. We are becoming familiar with narrow cobbled streets, white washed with colourful geraniums or Bourgenvillia but Paros I. Some ways quite different, in the old quarter I pass an elderly gentleman sitting outside his house quite happy to pass the time of day with me, not far a lady is painting, ...
