Bye bye Greek Islands...back to Athens

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Aug 06, 2014

... Not enough though! The rest of the journey was so uncomfortable and crammed but we finally made it back to Athens at about 8pm. We still had to get the metro to our hostel which took about an hour so it was a long day. The hostel has very dodgy aircon so we all arrived feeling disgusting but no time for freshening up as we wanted to go out for one last group dinner and it was already 9! We pretty much dropped our ...

    Paradise beach round 2

... gyros before heading back to the rooms to crank the air con and have a much needed nap! Was so good! After nap time we went back down to the beach for a couple of cocktails and to watch the amazing Brazilian dancers. The bar was absolutely going off! So many beautiful people shaking their amazing bodies in bikinis. It's not a good place to go for a confidence boost! That night the bar was having a paint party kind ...

    Paradise beach, Mykonos!

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Aug 04, 2014

... to get lost! It's a really cute little town tho. We grabbed a couple of beers and watched the sunset from the windmills which are also an icon of Mykonos. The sunset was nice but definitely not as nice as Ios and Santorini. Once the sun went down we went back to paradise beach to get ready for our night out. Paradise club plays every second night so tonight was our only chance to go. Since it was in the complex we were staying it was about a 30sec ...

    Party boat in Paros x

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Aug 02, 2014

Today we took the ferry to our next island destination, Paros! Paros is known to be more of a chilled out island so we were looking forward to relaxing after a couple of hectic nights out in Ios. The ferry was 2.5 hours but it was a big boat so plenty of room to move around. We checked into our cute little hotel and already could feel a more chilled atmosphere. Finally we had a smaller room with only 3 of us ...

    Exploring Paros and Antiparos

... a ferry to take us to the neighboring island of Antiparos but soon realized we needed more Euros so we tried to find a bank or an ATM, not an easy feat in rural Paros. Finding the largest dot on the map closest to Pounda, we stopped in Alikia, a charming little fishing village. There seemed to be only one street with shops and tavernas, a haircut salon and a row of well worn mail boxes, maybe the post office? Fishing boats rocked gently in the water directly across ...
