    Beach Paradise

... to say, we didn't swim for long! We had some nice cool melon during the morning and I also had a refreshingly cold beer. The afternoon comprised of writing a couple of missed journal entries and an amazing lunch. I went for pizza and Lisa had a Greek prawn dish. They were both very well made and tasty as anything. I think we have found a great restaurant here. After lunch we went for a short walk to the end of ...

... small compared to Santorini, but the beaches here are way better. It's a lot more "resorty" than I thought it would be. I can't believe we only paid eight euros a night! We met up with the group and shared a pizza and caesar salad for dinner. We figured it would be cheaper for the four of us to get a taxi to town than each of us buying bus tickets. ... bit like liquorice. The Greeks have it as a shot or sometimes drink it with water. If you drink it with water it turns cloudy. I wonder why? It must be some chemical reaction. After our lunch we are allowed some free time in the village. Tamiko, Beth and I go for a wander and we discover a cool shop. We don't buy anything but we get to climb the very steep stairs and realise how hard it would be to live on the Island climbing those stairs in a house-think of a rigging ...

    Enjoying the water in Paros

We woke up Sunday morning and did an hour of homework before heading over to Paros, the second largest island in the Greek Cyclades, which is renowned for its many sandy beaches and charming villages. It was still pretty windy that morning, so we found a small cove on the south side of the island to swim around, snorkel, kayak, and ride the tube. Patrick was the first to point out that there seemed to be a hairy naked man walking around on the ...
