Today we deviate from the tour schedule that the others will be staying on.

When we registered for the tour we made it clear we wanted to spend some time at Gallipoli. The others on the tour did not have a similar interest so we were dropped off at our hotel in Canakkale after our visit to Troy while the others continued on to …

An early start for a long bus trip to Gallipoli. On the way we watched the film and it made the visit to the area even more moving. Overnight stay in Canakkale where the Trojan Horse, used in the movie Troy, is situated on the seafront near our hotel. A quaint vollage with many busy streets ncluding a bazaar. A pity not stay longer.

The drive was not too epic, but that's ok.

We were hoping to be closer to a major airport for tomorrow so that Rachele could visit us for a day, but in a trip this big, it's …
