The main tower is closed currently for restorations but we were able to walk around the outer buildings with a volunteer guide who offered us a free English tour. Met a guy with a near camera setup in the mozzie infested himeji castle gardens but he wasn't directing his camera at the floodlit castle not the moon but almost straight up. I had thought he was there to capture the transition of the earth in front of the moon which was spectacular, but he was there to shoot the ISS as it whizzed across the heavens in less than six minutes.
