The last couple of days I spent in Tokyo for new years eve. The first thing you must know is that the period around new year is probably the worst to visit Japan. From 27 December to January 4, all museums and other sights are closed. Some shops and about half of the restaurants close as well. We arrived late at night in Uwajima, but before our last train journey we'd thought to call ahead and book a night at a hostel. Well, it's official, no more rail pass. This is such a sad thought that I considered sleeping in and skipping the market, but I’m very glad that I didn’t. It was even better than Kyoto’s Toji market. Uwajima
An diesem Morgen weckte mich der lieblicheKlang eines Presslufthammers. Zugegeben, Adam hatte mich gewarnt das in der Etage unter ihm gewerkt wurde, aber trotzdem war ein Schock so aufzuwachen. Nach einem leckeren Frühstück ging es dann auch bald zum Bahnhof, wo ich den Zug nach Uwajima bestieg. Schade eigentlich, denn Kochi hätte durchaus noch genug für einen weiteren Tag zu bieten gehabt.
