... book of revelations 666 and all that . We are currently siting in a beautiful garden a waiting a wine tasting . Our B&B is on a winery with at least a couple of appellations and dinner is here too , more later . Somebody just shot our dinner by the sound of it . Ok he didn't shoot dinner , we have just finished a home cooked meal goats cheese on toast , green salad , pork casserole , rice and an orange salad with accompanying wines from the vineyard thrash all folks ...

Breakfast this morning was several different kinds of bread, including brioche and croissants, fruit salad, and goat cheese. Laurent, one of the hotel's owners, recommended that we pour honey on the goat cheese, top it with walnuts that we cracked ourselves in some really heavy duty crackers, and then spread it on some of the bread. I didn't do the honey part, but spreading it on bread was a great idea. Laurent makes his own jam, and there were probably ...

... d call it; it was way too narrow to be an alley. Anyway, it was the church of St.-Florentin, a small and bare -- but functioning -- parish church. It had eight or ten stained glass windows, all dedicated to one "Our Lady" or another. I was particularly pleased to see Notre Dame de Chartres in one of the windows, and I definitely have a new appreciation for how the windows were put together and painted!

We left at 9.05 and drove the 93 miles through not very nice weather, arriving at 11.40. Luckily we got on to Pitch H02 which is near the toilet block but also the pool and restaurant.
