Early start to morning with breakfast at 7 even though it was a rest day to farewell Sue and Peter. Part way through breakfast the power went out. When I did finally catch the owner she explained they had run out of coins - how funny - we had only a few days before need taking about the origins of "the penny dropped". In front of the serious Irish road bikes was a bright blue Peugeot motorbike. The lady at reception explained that ...

Perfect lunch - I think we will all be cleaning our bodies for a few days after the amazing and food which was never ending. This was the first time macchiato was on the menu so I ordered one. The others then wandered in at various times after. While getting our bikes set up and assembling as a ...

At the corner of a number of fields there were sunflowers where the seeds had been picked out to create a smily face. The sunflower heads were huge - some would have been nearly 50 cm in diameter. Passing through a small village we saw what we had presumed was another chateaux off in the distance. We ...

... visit of the chateaux and a wander around the kitchen garden we indulged in an icecream for morning tea. This was also our first lost property incident - Clive's wallet. A quick scout around located his wallet under the cream fridge - very very lucky. We then headed into the village area to purchase supplies for a picnic lunch. Pate, rillette, cheese and baguettes - what more could we need?! We cycled to our lunch spot on the edge of the Indre ...
