... she had cats surrounding the room but a funny experience all in all.

The following day we visited the White Temple, Black House, a long neck tribal village, monkey caves, the golden triangle and took a boat ride across the Mekong Delta.

... as it wasn’t the usual tat for sale – more ethnic and authentic wares. We found a food court where we had some decent grub – veg tempura, pork and lemongrass kebabs and some prawn phad thai, before we went for a few drinks in the Cat Bar on the street we had found earlier. We then headed back to the hotel to get some sleep.

... still under construction, and won't be finished until 2070! It's all white with mirror inlays, quite a sight in the bright sunshine. But I guessthe craziest thing about this place are the artworks and general theme as you'll see from the pics. Inside the artwork on the walls is awesome, everything from Superman, Michael Jackson and the twin towers burning with a giant petroleum pump coming out of them, so ...

Chiang Rai is a medium size town, not that pretty but it is home to the White temple which is very impressive. We spent the first day finding a guesthouse, walking around the city with our Canadians and the next day visited the White temple before shooting straight to Pai.

... and catch a few hours in another country. It was a last minute decision of the group before we left Chiang Mai. After making it into Myanmar I instantly felt a little “on edge.” I was surrounded by citizens trying to sell me tours and cigarettes.
