    ... back to Chios it was early afternoon and I for one felt exhausted. For me it had been the least interesting island we had visited and not worth the pre dawn start and not enough sleep.     ... prepares wonderful salads (beetroot especially good!). We bid a fond farewell to the Sideratos Apartments on Tuesday evening and motor gently back to the port. We're now literally just about to board the Ariadne, bound for Piraeus. We have a 'luxury' cabin... but what that actually means is as yet unknown at the time of writing!     The vineyard turns out to be next door to the old railway marshalling yard from which Ataturk once directed the 1937 skirmishes between the Turks and the Greeks from his own private, personalized railway carriage... a carriage made by the same German firm who manufactured a mobile HQ for Uncle Adolf!     ... mothers restaurant. Sardines to die for. So good in fact we went back for dinner. Girls and I went to the market to buy peaches, then to the jam packed beach for a swim, before heading back to the little boutique hotel to play a game of volleyball with a beach ball on the tiny cobbled street outside the hotel.
