    Around the island and around town

    ... Today we toured the town, including its small Byzantine Museum and the Genoese Kastro (fort), with its thick walls, narrow streets, and lovingly restored hammam. On the way to get the car, Dan walked through a camp of about a thousand refugees from Syria and Afghanistan and donated to an American charity that's helping the UNHCR to house and feed them. Then we drove around the beautiful citrus growing area of Kambos, south of town.
    Off to Lindos (via Athens) tomorrow.

    We flew into Chios Friday evening and checked into the Grecian Castle, a comfortable hotel on the seafront.     ... flight they popped Rob into business class. So he was comfortable. The also arranged assistance at Singapore and Perth. It was great to get home and see my babies. Missed them. Won't ever travel 3 months again. One bag of souvenirs lost at hotel :( Update 24th August - someone dropped our bag of souvenirs off at DSR - must be Peter and Shirley! Legends ...
