    I was lucky enough to talk to an ex-pat of Dubai before I came out. He warned me nobody walks, taxi everywhere.     ... in selected locations - Bye hotel room !!!!! I am glad that I noticed that, not only for the free drinks, but I discovered a beautiful little nest egg on my doorstep.     We finally had enough looking at gold so headed out towards the creek and had to walk upstream quite a bit to find the cargo boats and the water taxis but they are still there.
