... to finish his shift and wasn't happy I wanted to go all the way across town. Well suck it home boy, it's your job! Anyway, the Park wasn't as good as I hoped. Should have gone to the a Gold Souk which I believe is a little more traditional. The Park is like a giant version of the jewellery counter at Beales or something. I then got really hot and really lost trying to walk back to the hotel only to end up back at the park somehow and waiting ages for a taxi that ...

Burj Al Arab n Mall of Emirates

A travel blog entry by suencraig on Sep 20, 2014

Our lunch was booked for 1230 at Burj Al Arab, the only 7 star hotel in the world. I booked the 27th floor which is the little bit that hangs over the edge. It was then back into Dubai and up to the ...

... water was very warm as the temp got to 43degrees. Made a big error this arvo. I was too tired to go shopping do Marky went off by himself. He was very happy! He came home with a very fragile, very expensive Arab smoking pipe & a brass antique pot that weighs at least 3 kgs!!! Good one Mark, he looked very sheepish! Early to bed as we have to be up at 5.30 am heading to London in the morning! Very ...

    Dubai

... things that were for sale were fur coats, every shop was full of fur coats and not a single soul was in any of them. I wonder who buys fur coats in Dubai? Eventually we walked back to where we were in the first place. The Indian cargo boats are truly amazing. The quay was piled high with goods in cardboard boxes and the wooden ships looked as if they weren't sea-worthy enough to go in a bath tub. Eventually found the gold souk and the spice souk just around the corner from our ...
