... The views of Nihonmatsu and the surrounding mountains are beautiful. On return to Nihonmatsu, We paid a quick visit to the Nihonmatsu shrine. It is not as spectacular as those at the major tourist spots but it was peaceful and a nice place to visit. It also had many steps - good training for the streets of Paris and the Cinque Terra. Mum and Jess arrived a short time later and nearly freaked out thinking Dad ...

We had a quick walk around her area, picked some o*****ie for lunch and had our first meal in Jess's kitchen. Nihonmatsu is a pretty town, with mountains in the background, still with a little snow on them. The area around is very rural ...
