Day 6: Marseille
... we wanted to see the Mediterranean, so we decided to go anyway, thinking it would just be an interesting time-killer. ... again. So, i invited my French classmates. Only the swedes couldn't come, but the other three were able to make it! Needless to say, for an american holiday/tradition we were rather international. Around the dinner table we were representing: America, Thailand, Poland, Latvia, England and France. It was great! OK place - bad time to go
We missed the summer lavender fields. If you really dig modern painting, Aix-en-Provence may hold some charm. Not a bad town, just nothing really spectacular.
