In one shop saw some cool wood carvings and what looked to be just pieces of wood that had been polished up. Really liked the dragon dog which was about as tall as me but no way in hell of getting that home.
From here headed to the Wenshu temple which had some interesting statues and pagodo, along with buildings and artwork. Once again you basically have courtyard after courtyard with a building and shrine in between ...

... in the next 5 years, every tourist sight to see will be a walled-in complex with outrageous entry fees. And the rest of China will be one big modern urban mega-opolis. I, for one, plan on taking up Mandarin when I get home. I think in 5 years it will be to my advantage to speak it.
