Day 38, Christchurch to Brisbane. Sunny today. It is Richard and Julie's 8th wedding anniversary today. We celebrate with another Continental breakfast, then go back to the room to start packing as we are flying back to Brisbane today. We catch a taxi and arrive at the international airport at 10:30am. We’d book ‘The Works’ for the journey back, so got our breakfast of scrambled egg, sausage and potatoes. As well as a muffin and fruit, I had a cup of tea and Ari got a free coke too.

They all work on our phones here, but 2 didn't play correctly on my laptop. Hopefully they work for you all. Rain, rain, and more rain. We got 179mm of rain today, and the Brisbane area had a lot of flooding. They have had a lot of rain here lately. It started ...

... of this. It definitely feels a lot more country than it does town, that's for sure. When we arrived at our hotel we were like over excited children and launched ourselves onto the bed overjoyed at the prospect of a decent hotel room, mattress etc. Our room was massive and a far cry from the hostels we have been in recently. Felt like total glamour and luxury! We had a few hours to relax and freshen up before we met up with Emma, ...
