... like fairies in the bushes, and sometimes would fly over to the boat where you could catch one or get transfixed watching them drift magically in the night sky all around. The sheer scale of thousands of glowing dots was just a bit ridiculous, no pictures were taken as they wouldn't really portray the complete Disney-esque feel to it all, and nor did either of wish to stop gazing around! In conclusion, it was awesome. We left with Owl City's Fireflies song in our heads, which ...

... in bed. Those that aren’t are either heavily camouflaged by the dark of night or too inhibited to emerge from their undergrowth homes, particularly when an army of teenage legs is crashing through the greenery around them. ... off the coast, where we swam with these incredible black and white fish who had zero fear of the humans around them. After accidentally kicking some coral, again, we headed in and sat on the beach until our boat came to take us back to KK. Whilst playing cards, there was a pretty loud rustling sound in the trees behind us, and a monitor lizard which was about 7ft long popped out and took a stroll along the sand, which was ...

Another day of relaxation. This time, though, we took the resorts shuttle boat to their second private beach not too far away on the island. One of the features of the beach, aside from having a relatively remote feeling, was the offering of a picnic lunch. We opted for this and were not disappointed. Out picnic basket was filled with salads, cheeses and nuts, sandwiches and fruit salad and grapes. As ...
