... br> We we're picked up promptly at 4.00pm to head of to the Mari Mari Village - Mari Mari meaning 'Come Come'. We were treated to a wonderful night, learning about the Borneo heritage and culture. Our journey took us through the five tribes represented by five different houses. As we walked to each house we were given the history and shown their traditions and were then treated to tastings along the way (but not at the head hunting tribe!) The first house was the ...

... We were all hungry and so we were taken by our lovely driver to the restaurant in the Rainforest Discovery Centre. We all sat together and decided to order a buffet lunch, together choosing traditional food. Afterwards we walked along the front to reach centre point and upstairs to the pool centre (it must seem like all we do is walk between shopping centres!) and spent a couple of ...

... developed and it was quite a challenge to snorkel.
We caught the 1230 boat back and headed off to our room to freshen up and rinse the swimming and snorkel gear (the sea is very salty).
We then booked our shuttle bus tickets for tomorrow’s trip to the Rasa Ria and then headed off for a swim in the infinity pool; it was crowded so we opted for a couple of sunbeds in the
shade where there was also a nice breeze. We stayed ...

... 4 layers I couldn't feel my toes or fingers and was sat shivering at 4000m! From half 5 the sun started to rise from behind the mountain and we spent the next hour watching the incredible views unfold. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience and I felt sorry for the crowds of people below still climbing the mountain who were missing the sight. The view from the summit was definitely worth the pain and lack of sleep and it had stayed clear so ...
