... We continued our, now slightly more relaxed, walk back into the city centre and stopped at a craft beer pub for a couple. Alcohol is really expensive here, about £4.60 for a bottle of beer. The tables here were chalk boards so Hazel wrote a message and we found a nearby Hog Roast restaurant for dinner before walking back to the hotel. ... There is an incredible range of things to see and places to go within 10 minutes (drive) from the hotel. There were some incredible sites.

Hotel: 540 Motel on great south.
This was a cosy apartment and hotel to stay in. It had facilities depending on which type of room you are staying in. If you want your stay to be more homely and entertaining you should purchase a dearer apartment or will have to pay extra for other facilities.

There are lots of ways to get around
NZ, from flexi buses, tour groups, cheap flights, trains and of
course driving. Even with driving there are at least the two options
of driving a car and staying at hostels or renting a camper-van. We
chose the latter, having done the car and hosteling in OZ and wanting
the freedom of having our home on wheels. Don't confuse this with

... it was the best wake up ever. We then got to Lake Wanaka, this is definitely one of the most beautiful places we have been to so far. Just stunning scenery, and a really cool town after some of the sleepier places we have been to. A wonderful sunny day we headed to the lake for some sunbathing and the boys for a swim. Having slept on the sofas of our hostel for two hours or so, we got the bus to the airport at 3:08am. Upon arrival we headed to the check in desk where matters got interesting. You are allowed 30 days of free entry to Thailand before you are required to get a visa. This is all very well but the only way they have of policing it is to see proof that you are leaving the country with in the 30 days, before you enter it. Our flight out of Thailand was booked ...
