    ... the day was that David threw out the toll ticket that I had sitting in the console....hmmm not quite sure how and poor David as I huffed and puffed and said in no uncertain terms..."what the"?!! I was stressing a bit imagining our conversation and wondering if we would be charged extra or fined but all was good and the attendant looked up the price and took our word that we had left from Florence. Twenty one Euros later thank you very much! Looks like ...

    Thank you for all your comments about the blog but we haven't quite finished yet!     ... in the duomo. This was pretty impressive, in a different style from all the other duomos of Italy I had seen so far as it was gothic instead of Renaissance. There was an insane amount of statuary on the outside of the building, high up on the spires as well. Inside was just as impressive.
