... the hill. Unfortunately visibility even worse today so after the effort of making our way up the hill we could not even see the water. Great villa's though.
Fast boat back, ferry home and we enter our warm apartment at approx 7pm, in time to cook dinner.
Como, well it is not what we expected, much more suburban. However, glad we came to experience and see how those with lots of money actually holiday.

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

    ... to impressed.
What I loved the most about Milan was the Duomo. This beautiful Gothic Cathedral left me speechless. I can't find the words to describe how beautiful and amazing this building is. It was just perfect and to know it was build such a long time ago makes it even more amazing.
I knew as I was leaving Milan, heading to Venice, I was about to have a life changing experience.

My body clock is not sorted yet. Am writing this at 5 am in a dark hotel room while Rog is still asleep. Was good to be walking yesterday - it's a nice change from sitting at a desk all day and my feet haven't suffered. Yay to good walking shoes! Caught up with Mike and Liz last night. They went straight from plane to train, to hotel, to happy hour! Happy hour, a nice discovery at a bakery-bar around the corner from us. Bakery-bar, a workable ...
