We set out in foot for the 2 mile journey into town, seeing some of the real New Orleans - very poor, very run down and certainly very unfriendly to pedestrians! Had some drinks in the French Quarter, including a very nice microbrew and the classic 'hurricane' slushie. Caught a late dinner of the classic catfish po boy (essentially a sub) and then hit the clubs for some music. We managed to catch some surf rock, blues, and ...

... te eten zijn. Het goede nieuws is dat je er zoveel van mag eten als je wilt'.

Het eten is dus een culinair dieptepunt, maar goed, je kunt niet alles hebben. Als troost gaan we naar de naastgelegen 'frozen yoghurt'-zaak, waar we ons tegoed doen aan een flinke bak calorie�n, mede om de smaak van het Chinese buffet weg te krijgen.

The day after the rafting and moonshine was a day of driving and camping! So....

Monday 9th April

So, after travelling down Mississippi and singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long through, umm Alabama! We made it to Louisiana! Our first stop was at Honey Island Swamp tour!
