    ... I said goodbye and headed out. My original plan was to follow the coast and camp around Vaasa, then follow the coast the next day to Oulu, but since I had gotten up so early I decided to go straight through to Oulu. Finland is a very beautiful and unspoiled country, there are lovely lakes and forests everywhere, and sometimes it's nice to be out on the highway cutting through the middle.     ... the supermarket so that they could buy themselves some fresh made up salad for lunch whilst I sat in the café guarding luggage and updating the blog. When they returned and after a coffee together, it was time for Julie and me to leave them, to get the boat ready for our departure.     ... 8217; – a mosquito repellent recommended on the Cruising Association web site, the repellent used by the Swedish armed forces and which Richard had bought over the internet.     ... came across a fish shop, selling smoked fish amongst other things. We opted for some nicely prepared hot smoked salmon, looking like little pies but consisting entirely of fish wrapped around a garlic based filling or a pickle of some description.
