... finish it all off I had an espresso and Körte Pálinka, which is a pear schnapps and a bit like Pear William but much much smoother to drink. All in all it was a very simple but tasty dinner and exactly what I needed. Would recommend if you want a nice and quick dinner in a good atmosphere. ... immigration. We agreed to meet for lunch in the airport and then my wifi stopped working.

I waited and waited and then decided to try our back up plan to meet at the car rental. Then I waited there, I even waited the 1/4 mile to the parking garage (all with my heavy packs!). Finally, I went back to the restaurant area. I was about to give up when I heard little voices yelling "Memere!"

It it was great to see them all, finally! ...

... cold mountain streams, a few houses...some older...some newer....farming....fields......a church...with a graveyard...and grave stones with Litvak as a last name! (Zuzanna Litvak was my great grandmother) My ggma and ggpa were buried in Canada, as they emigrated in 1892/1895 respectfully, but they both would have had parents and possibly brothers and/or sisters who married that would have been buried here in Slovakia. Obviously more work needs to be done! It was just ...
