Conveniently close to the airport, and located by a bus route with direct access the central Helsinki. The room had a kitchenette and was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful with local information and bus schedules, and let me leave my bags while I went into town for a while, then drove me back to the airport.

Overall, the town was charming, but not the most exciting. Many websites bill it as a daytrip from Stockholm, which seems about right. ...

Also make sure to walk along to the King's Gate. This is a little bay type area where you can sit with your feet over the edge and soak in some rays, or in our case make friends with the ducks!

... jewellery stores. We were keen to replace our wedding rings, both of which are too small now to wear. Pieter had a marvellous surprise to find the Lapponia range, which was his mothers favourite. Unfortunately we couldn't find a fitting in the styles that we liked. We went to about 6 jewellers. The main problem was they didn't have Pieter's size. The last jeweller we went to had the perfects sizes for us, just the design that we wanted ...
