... trips. The opportunity to see so many archaeological sites was fantastic. By comparing Ashkelon to sites like Lachish, Azekah and Tel Dan, it became easier to understand how the city fit in the rest of Israel. We had the opportunity to see examples of ancient cities in Israel and understand the differences between port cities and inland cities, Philistine cities and Israelite cities.

... the class for the young children and CYC and Neville gave them a simple, precise way of proving that the soul of man is mortal. In fact, it was so simple (yet profound) that Matt was taking his own notes and was able to tell us all about the study on the way home. Now that's a first! In fact he even wrote up a few more things in the following week, so it obviously made a big impression.
Sunday Night was early to bed to get ready for the last week of school - YAY!

A sleep in this morning allowed me to get over the jet lag (for the most part) - my first and only engagement for the day starting at 2pm. A sneaky 6km on the treadmill, followed by a quick dip in the pool and I was feeling pretty good! Before the formal proceedings, lunch with Hoagie and his colleague from Greece, Pa..Pa...nup forgotten (my bad!). Yia Yia Mary's for lunch - a lovely Greek Tavern! I had pork souvlaki...delish! Now down ...
