... and thus, did not have to contend with any commute traffic. The ride was surprisingly easy and we made good time getting to our campsite just south of Atlanta by dinner time. I wanted to watch the Niner game and the Emmys, so we picked a first class resort again. Kap did not do well for the Niners, but Andrew Luck, former Stanford player, was fantastic for the Colts, so all in all, it was a pretty good game. ...
We left our hotel in Atlanta and headed to the zoo. We have seen enough zoos but the kids were excited to visit this one because there was a baby rhino, gorilla, orangutan and pandas. It was drizzling when we got there and then started pouring. We were patient and got to see the baby gorilla and orangutan. We made it to Memphis as the sun was setting.
... that Martin Luther King Jr. would have taken his entire life, first as the son of the preacher, and then as the pastor at Ebenezer Baptist. After we left we all felt a bit drained but uplifted from the experience.
I should also mention that we visited the eternal flame and the grave site of Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King. This site is also along Auburn Avenue. This site is not to be missed if you are anywhere near Atlanta.
Today we fly from iad to atl then 4 new people join our tour. 3 people departed in iad.
We arrived at Atl airport about 2.30pm. This is the busiest airport inthe world.Delta alone have over 1000 flights a day.
A limousine picked us up from the airport and took us to the Grand Hyatt hotel. Very nice. Found ...
