Then on Monday picked up the camper van, Mir the Spaceship, and got on the road for our New Zealand adventure, we couldn't wait. We then visited an old Maori fortress which was then turned into a gun point for the NZ army. They constructed the defenses when they thought they were under attack from Russia. They weren't! The guns have only been fired once and that was to salute the Queen on one of her visits! The next day we were heading off on the Kiwi Experience!

IT was my last day on the magic bus and i'm now coming to terms with and preapring mentally for the end of the holiday and the long journey home work wednesday can't say i'm entirely looking forward to it !!!

There are a few things that are worth noting about Auckland that I just find crazy, brilliant, or strange. The first is the traffic lights. In Auckland they do the coolest thing, you can walk diagonal in cross walks. Now, I understand the relevance of this may not be readily apparent, but think about it. You are standing on the corner looking across the intersection at where you want to be and bummed that you have to wait through TWO lights. Well, not anymore, no... just walk ...
