... we arrived than a friend showed up so we chatted to her for a while and then tried to coax the girls into talking to us … they were having none of that.







It took about 4 hours or so for them to thaw out and let us pat them but that was to be expected. We stayed up til about 9pm and then hit the sack … bliss - our own bed at last after 2 months.






Now to start planning our next adventure ...

Seafood Dinner at Gold Reef City

Friday was a fairly easy day and in the evening we went to Gold Reef City to look around and have dinner. Gold Reef City is a casino, theme park, entertainment complex built on an old gold mine and geared towards attracting local people, like a smaller version of the more historically controversial Sun City.

It was pretty hectic as we arrived at our Jo-Burg final destination and scrambled to get a transfer to our Jo-Burg hotel in Sandton. There were a few rushed goodbyes to our travel companions at the Mo Africa drop off point on the outskirts of Jo-Burg. It is always the same with these travel tours you wish each other a good rest of trip and agree to try and be in contact in the future but that never seems to happen.
